Summaries

Write a brief summary  (6 lines) of the following Oscar Wilde´s stories. Include one picture for each book.

1)The picture of Dorian Gray.

A painter is fascinated by the extraordinary beauty of Dorian, his young model, who lives in full victorian age and fulfills all their wishes, without limits or prejudices. The painter declares that it would be happy if Dorian could forever stay exactly as it is. This desire translates into a pact that leads Dorian to commit all sorts of atrocities, until you get to the crime.

2) The importance of being Ernest.

Two men play to be called Ernesto, when in reality their names are pretty simple, and looking for the loves of two women obsessed with marriage with Ernesto, which leads to the multiple entanglements and confusions. This book is entertaining and entangled.

   3) An ideal husband.

Undersecretary of State Sir Robert Chiltern is an ideal husband for his wife Lady Chiltern, a brilliant politician and a perfect knight. Before the rest of the society both are shown as an ideal and harmonious marriage. All is perfect until a woman blackmails the undersecretary with telling the truth.

4)The selfish giant.

The selfish giant lived in a castle with a beautiful garden that would play the children while he was not, but one day the giant saw them playing and upset with the noise causing cast them, when I get winter all turned white and cold, but this remained in the garden of the giant even last station then he realized that the children gave life to the garden and let them again, when the giant aged was taken by Jesus to paradise.

5) The Happy Prince

The statue of the Happy Prince was covered with leaves of gold, and his eyes were two sapphires, and had a ruby in the hilt of his sword. One night she came to the city a swallow, and perching on the statue he saw this he wept, because from the top I could see all the misery of his city. Then he decided to stay a little longer to be his messenger, despite the fact that her friends had already left for Egypt.
