Activity 8: My Favorite book

1- Write the name of the book

All starts with a job for Literature class: writing a letter to a dead person. 
Laurel decides to write to Kurt Cobain, who died young as May, his sister. 
After the first letter, she can´t longer stop, and will write others to Janis Joplin, 
Amy Winehouse, Jim Morrison and Heath Ledger, among other famous characters. 
However, she don't show anything to her teacher.
The task remains hidden, like so many things in his life. 
Laurel writes about what happens to her: how it feels to be in another school, how difficult
 it is to forge new friendships, what the first love is like or to live with separated parents and,
 most importantly, she writes about May's death. In this way, he begins to relate the things he
 shared with his sister and their personal experiences, with the lives and deaths of these icons.

5-Write a biography of the writer. Include 2 images.
Ava Dellaira is a writer born in Los Angeles, California.
One of his earliest memories is to be staring out the window of the Cadillac
that his family was driving through the desert when they moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico,
where he grew up. The first time she wrote was in second grade, where she was assigned to write
a poem about the things she liked and why. He attended the University of Chicago and then received
his MFA (Master of Fine Arts). He later moved to Iowa where he finally graduated, then moved to
Los Angeles with the good fortune of getting to work for Stephen Cbosky. Stephen told him one day
that he should publish a novel, and on the night of that day, Love Letters to the Dead came to mind
and he began to write it.
